New Student Checklist

  1. Call EAS and set up an appointment before Orientation, placement exams or classes begin
  2. Attend New Student Orientation
  3. Meet with the EAS Learning Specialist
  4. Bring appropriate disability documentation 
  5. Request accommodations
  6. Register early for your classes
  7. Take accommodation letters to your professors
  8. Bring books and syllabus to EAS at least 3 weeks prior to classes to be placed in alternative format
  9. Arrange for equipment, aids, interpreters/CART reporters or other materials as needed
  10. Arrange for alternative testing
  11. Get involved with ABLE - Students with a Disability group
  12. Become a mentor
