Advocates -- Bridging Life Experiences

If you are interested in being an advocate for yourself or individuals with disabilities or if you have a general interest in bridging the gap between knowledge and ignorance, community and isolation, then you may interested in ABLE.

Our student organization works toward advocacy of individuals with disabilities. Whether you have a physical, learning, mental or other disability or you have an interest in becoming more aware of disability issues and overcoming adversity in modern society, we at ABLE would like to invite you to become part of our organization.

Goals for this upcoming academic year are: Recruiting a Faculty and Student liaisons for each College at WSU, Improving the transportation issues, Participating in the Disabilities Awareness Week, Transitions 101, Online meeting/informational sessions, Starting up a monthly Advocacy newsletter, Fundraising and Group activities will be some of the new and exciting opportunities available for everyone to experience and enjoy.
